The photograph on the left is me with one of my Dad’s cameras and the one on the right is a photograph I took at that time.
I am aware that my father was a keen photographer and that he encouraged me to be involved.
This could have been a fleeting experience but it stuck with me as a mode of expression. At one point I dismantled my father’s camera and could not put it back together but lived to carry on taking pictures!
I have had many doubts and frustrating moments but each time I come round to accepting that photography is what I was meant to do.
